(as far as i know) if you want to do some automation with the effects its very easy, click on view, automation page, now drag the ID to a control and it will assign itsself. if you click on the effects tab you can effect each cell individualy, accept the delay and reverb are sends effects from the master.

you can layer samples in battery also, so if you had a snare, you might want to add something to it. so then you use a pencil tool and place the events in the grid. then open your matrix editor and you will find your samples are spread out over the key range, from C1. my sample cd allows me to load up an entire kit automaticaly. depending on how big your kit is, you will want to change the matrix size, i normaly have it on 9圆 then simply load up your kit into the cells.
